Broadband provider

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good broadband provider up to 20 meg and unlimited usage? I heard that 02 are pretty good (although I am not a customer), I have a BT phone line, live in East/North London and a looking for a 12 month contract.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks
Angela

Hi Angela

I'd recommend using Uswitch to make a decision like this. The site can also tell you which providers are available in your area (probably not that limited in your case).

Personally I've used Virgin since 1992 and I've never had a problem with them.

Actually, the one time I did have an issue it was BT's fault. The guys at virgin answered the phone immediately and were both helpful and knowledgeable.

In London you're going to be able to get the full speed broadband which I believe is the fastest in the UK.... Which I've never understood because Virgin use BT lines/exchanges so how can they offer a faster service than the hardware that they piggyback on?

I know that they also do cable broadband but have no experience of it so can't comment.

Shaun.

Yeah, definitely check out uswitch - I use Sky (I am in Sheffield) and I have wireless broadband which is fast and I have never had any problems. Been with them for about four years
