VT Transaction

Hello

New to VT and trying to get to grips with it before swapping a few clients to it. A few questions pls.

1) How to do a search for a specific transaction?  eg Search by amount, or reference, or name of item.

2) How to get full details of all transactions in bookkeeping to pass to Accountant at year end? Not just a TB.

TIA

Hi Mary, welcome to the forum

Although there isn't a search facility as such, you can dump to excel and search from there.

1.  At the top of VAT you'll see a graph icon.  Select the category you want to seach in, click on the graph then copy to excel, open in excel and find the item

2.  Use the display tab to bring up either PL or BS and then you would need to go into each category and print off the list.  Personally I would just print the PL and BS and if accountant has any specific equiries they can ask you for further info.

Thank you. I could not find 'At the top of VAT you'll see a graph icon' assume its as company is not vat registered, but found excel icon. I can now get full transactions and full ledger reports via the 'Display' function and dropping to excel so can do (1) and (2) as hoped.

Hi Mary

My apologies, VAT should have read VT, but looks like you found it anyway.
