Volunteering Opportunity

If you can look after the pennies and pounds we can focus on caring for cats and kittens throughout the UK! Volunteer treasurers wanted to make a big difference to the thousands of cats and kittens that get a second chance of life every year with Cats Protection. Please contact us to see if we have a vacancy in your area at bsu@cats.org.uk or visit our website  http://www.cats.org.uk/get-involved/volunteering/find-an-opportunity and use your love for cats, your knowledge and experience to change the world for cats in your area.

Our branches are run entirely by volunteers who volunteer from their own homes. The exact time commitment will vary but is approximately 2-4 hours per week. This is a committee role and will also require you to attend regular committee meetings locally. We pay expenses and provide in-house software necessary for the role.

Hi Cats,

you probably need more detail than a link to a page that isn't the one with the details of the role.

For example,

1) What is the location of the role?

2) What software do you use.

3) Do you pay expenses such as travel

4) What sort of time commitment are you looking for.

I don't think cats really have anything to do with the role (but of course a dog person would say that, lol). Its just about peoples competence with money (so you've come to the right place to advertise this) and willingness to use their skills for nothing in order to possibly gain additional experience.

kind regards,

Shaun.

p.s. Oh God, I visited your site and now Firefox ads thinks that pics of big eyed trespassing fluffy bunny murdering felines are going to make me part with money. lol.
Good luck in finding a suitable person for the role but as I say you need to include more information about the role.

You could take over from me as Treasurer for a Group of Explorer Scouts (14-18 year olds, part ofthe Scout Assoication) cos frankly they are doing my head in.

Oops - not really sold it you have I.

I did think maybe the Cats might appreciate me more! But Im allergic. Good luck to them finding someone though.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

I know of a dog rescue that's always in need of volunteers to donate money, but as far as I know doesn't need volunteers to account for it! This is a much easier role, and doesn't depend on your location!
