Great opportunity for a Financial Controller in UK


As Financial Controller within this healthcare business you will have the following responsibilities:

  • To account,control and report the financial performance for the region.
  • Preparation of month end close activities, including accounting, reporting, balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly management reporting packs.
  • Reporting to parent company to set deadlines
  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Provide forecasting to the operational and executive team
  • Management of the company bank account, debtors and creditors
  • Support operational team in delivering the business plan though, analysing actual performance to plan and coaching non-finance staff on the use of financial information to improve business performance.
  • Run investment appraisals, cost/benefit analysis and cost and pricing financial models.
  • Annual/Quarterly activities including Statutory accounts preparation, year end audit, liaison with external auditors, VAT and Corporate tax returns, HMRC, Govt office of National statistics returns


Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with approx 5 years PQE and have the following:

  • Advanced excel and database management skills
  • Demonstrable commercial experience and a track record of adding value to an organisation 
  • Demonstrable ability to clearly articulate complex information to financial and non-financial leaders and staff
  • Evidence of experience of supporting operations and new business activities, investment appraisal, cost/benefit analysis
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a start-up and fast changing environment


You will also have very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative within a lean finance structure. It would be advantageous to have either private or NHS healthcare experience but not essential.
