QuickBooks - Please join us at the Intuit Insight free 3-hour Masterclass!

Hello everyone,

I have just joined this forum, and hope to be a good source of information moving forward about anything to do with the UK versions of QuickBooks.   I used to be a bookkeeper myself, so can answer (almost) any question you may have.

For those of you who are considering QuickBooks, we have just opened registration for our free 3-hour Masterclass held in 10 cities across the UK.  The tour runs between 20th Sept and 10th October, and we are giving each registered attendee a free copy of our new QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2013 software.

I encourage you to attend - the class is designed to help you with things you can do now, to get and keep higher value, more profitable clients, and will show you the time-saving benefits of the new QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2013 software.  You will also leave with a free, single-user full version of the software, valued at £519, so you can use it right away when you get back to your office.

To register for this free event, please go to www.intuitevents.co.uk
Note that seats are limited, and we expect to sell out in most of our cities, so if you are interested please register right away.

And of course, please let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like more information about how QuickBooks works really well for bookkeepers.

Cheers!

Alison Ball, Head of Accountant Programmes, Intuit UK

Sounds good Alison, unfortunately getting to my closest for 8.30 is almost impossible unless I stayed over somewhere, but it would have been nice

Not to worry - we will do webinars after the tour ends.  However please note that you won't get the free software with the webinar - I am only able to give that out in conjunction with the live tour.

But the training will be worth attending the webinar, so please look for those announcements.

Hi Alison,

Welcome to the forum.

like Kris, 8:30 is near impossible (all the fun of single parenting) so hope that you appreciate the effort that I've gone to wink

Hope to see you at the Custard Factory in Brum on the 3rd of October.

I've just sent an email off as the site registration for the event isn't open yet.

kind regards,

Shaun. (founder member of the antii Sage league... Just search the site and you'll see what I mean biggrin)

Wonderful!  I will see you there.  Also - the class itself starts at 9:00 so please just plan on arriving a few minutes before 9:00.  Come at 8:30 if you want coffee

Oh I really want to go to the custard factory. Is it as good as it sounds?

Not been there before.

Its actually in the shell of the facory where Mr Bird manufactured custard... Yet another industry that we lost.

Could have cried last time that I was in Thailand and drove past the huge Triumph motorcycles factory out there (just off the main highway between Bangkok and Pattaya).

Triumph is one I didn't know we had lost, almost as British as apple pie.

Losing the custard industry must have been quite a blow to the country, we could handle the loss of the financial sector but custard, these are bad times. At least Black Mesa is out in 7 days 22 hours and 20 minutes to ease the pain :)

Hi Sonya,

Kris is right - we do have free trials of most of our software versions.  Including QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2013.  Please just call us - the number is on our website,  (www.QuickBooks.co.uk) and we will be happy to send you a trial.

Cheers!

Alison

Hi Alison,
I have never used quickbooks before but am hoping to get into freelance bookkeeping and working from home.
I've seen that many companies use quickbooks so i was hoping to do some training in it.
Is the seminar you are running something I would find useful? Is it useful to someone who has never used quickbooks before?
Thanks,
Kate

HI Kate,

THis seminar is useful for anyone who is in practice, in the UK.  We aren't doing a deep dive on QuickBooks, but we will show you some of the time-saving features of the new QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2013, and you get to leave with a free copy!

I recommend you come to a seminar near you, and then ask the experts after the class to show you any features you wish to see in more detail.

Hope this helps?

Alison

Hi Alison

I'm just starting up as a bookkeeper (just waiting on my registration things to come back from hmrc) but would like to attend this event in Edinburgh. Would this be ok as I'm not practicing at the minute? If you could let me know and then I will enrol.

Regards Kim
