Paroll software

Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be getting a new customer to do the books for them.  The existing (old) bookkeepeer currently uses sage for the accounts and the payroll.

If I get the data file for the accounts its no problem as I use client manager. but for the payroll I dont want to use sage payroll.

Does anyone know if another cheap/free  payroll package will be able to import the payroll file to save me the trouble of setting up all the employees (3) again?

Hi

Have a look at 12pay www.12pay.co.uk very reasonably priced and very helpful staff. Tom may be on here soon to put his opinions on his software. Not sure about the data import but look at their website and there is plenty of information in the forum.

Regards

Mark

Thanks Marky65.
Have sent a pm to Tom regarding his software.
Am waiting for him to get back to me, but I thought in the meantime I would ask for other helpful advice.

Sorry for the slow response. I don't monitor the forum daily and I didn't get an email to tell me that I have a pm.

Anyway, I'll just confirm that 12Pay can import employee details from a csv file, but it isn't really worth going down the setup and admin required for that route in order to import 3 employees. Easier to just type their details in, which would probably only take about 5-10 minutes as long as you have the P11 reports from the previous software to hand.

I am using quickbooks and this seem to be doing the job well, have you tried this one?
