Hi

I've just found this site via the Sage forum.  I suppose I've been doing some freelance bookkeeping for over 25 years (for someone I met outside nursery who was setting up her own business) as well as being variously a PA, a Company Secretary, a ICT/Business Admin/Book-keeping trainer, a NVQ Assessor/Verifier, an examiner/moderator for OCR, a Training Centre Manager and, for the last 3 years concentrating on freelance book-keeping.

I currently have one employed position as a Finance Assistant for 25 hours a month, 3 weekly clients, 2 monthly ones, 1 quarterly and the odd teaching session.

I managed to pick up 3 clients through answering adverts in the local free press for part-time book-keeper, and got one through recommendation from the accountant of one of my other clients the others through word of mouth, so I'm not much use for advice on the marketing side but like many on here I'm not much good at cold calling.

So that's me.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find it friendly (most of the time) and informative. Perhaps you'll be able to share some of your experience too.
