bank interest received

Hi everyone Im new, just signed on today and hoping that this is going to be a great source of information and help for me.   I work for a small construction firm, part time, as a book keeper and have been "doing books" now for years and years (Im not counting them it will only depress me!)

Anyway I have a wee problem, on Sage Line 50 where would I put Bank interest received.  Should I start a new nominal code under income section?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi there

I believe bank deposit interest received is nominal 4510. All income nominals in Sage are in the 4000's (if you get what I mean !)

Where I work we use P & L code 9750 - interest earned (not sure if thats a standard code though)

Hi Jellybean, welcome to the forum. On my Sage 50, bank interest received is nominal code 4900.
