Quickbooks Pro - advice or tips to get billable hours in customer job reports

Hello to everyone

I wonder if anyone has advice or tips to help us get billable hours into a customer job report

We use Quickbooks Pro Desktop accounts software 2013 version on our steam driven PC

The requirement is to log billable labour charge hours to a customer job, and be able to build a report print out for the customer so that materials and billable hours can be advised at any time during on-going contracted work

Obviously the materials used are allocated to the customer job from suppliers, but I am struggling to see a good way to get the billable hours allocated to the customers job so that we can generate a job status report at any time to advise the situation and discuss the invoicing with the customer before issuing the invoices

Our desktop 2013 accounts software is no longer supported by intuit so any advice would be gratefully received

Regards GC
