The HMRC Basic Tools payroll RTI at 19/20 Year End update won't load or work on my Mac for 20/21

Background: The HMRC Basic Tools Payroll is just run here for 1 director so there is no point in getting say an expensive Sage system, and the free Government system has always sufficed for us over many years.

However it just came up with a message that I could update ready for 20/21 so I thought right I'll do that, but the update just would not start to upload or begin to work on my Mac (which does meet the Mac Version requirements needed).  Obviously no phone lines to HMRC Payroll are working today but I wondered if anyone else has or will be meeting this problem, and can offer any helpful advice please??  It may be just an early glitch with the software not being properly tested at HMRC but have other members been successful or had problems at loading it????

Why would ANYONE suggest you get Sage payroll? Its garbage and as you say expensive.

I would wait in the event that you need to do something for COVID-19.

If you dont by 6 April - then if it still isnt working you will be able to get through.

To Casu.  Thank you most kindly for your helpful assistance .  Sorry for my rude delay in replying to you, and yes I finally got there in the end.
