VAT Helpline

Just a heads up that if you have need to ring the helpline to have your ASA account no ready.  It's at the top of the ASA page.

I had need to ring them this afternoon and to my delight and joy I've finally had my business name and address corrected.  Been trying to get it changed for a number of years but never quite sussed how to do it.  However as a direct result of MTD and that linking to your AML the details have autoomatically been updated.

Yes Ive had to give my ASA Aount number, although the call handler referred to it by another name at the time, cannot recall which. Also had to give the ASA agent id in full which runs to about 24 characters!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
