business card refund recon issue

Hi. Am a novice at Sage 50cloud accounts and struggle with unusual events.

There was  a business card refund of 116.00 in June leaving a positive amount of 18.54.

I reconciled this statement with a positive balance of 18.54 and the figures had a zero difference so I saved it.

However when I do the next recon it is out by 18.54

I would be extremely grateful for some help with this. confuse

Hi Loretta

Why is the statement balance showing -129.03?  It should be -110.49 if these are the only transactions on the statement and they've been matched off.  On the statement do you have a b/f balance of +18.54?  If not that's where you need to be looking.

If yes, then it's possible that the figure you've picked up is just the value of the transactions, is there a c/f figure of -110.49? If so I would amend your statement balance to match.

EDIT: Amended for spelling mistake.
