Edit

Looks like some more forum changes.

New box just popped up on my phone.  Option to delete as well as edit.

Dangerous!!!!

Will we have the same daft shenanigans as Aweb whereby folk delete their post when they get an answer they don't like? Or just delete for the sake of it after folk have taken the time and trouble to respond? (For folk who respond, I mean the four of us who do Participate as opposed to the 'takers').

Wonder what rules are geared to this new facility?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Not seen that Joanne. I've noticed some new links at the top of the page, including one to the BKN PII scheme, but also the old directory of bookkeepers has disappeared as well.

Edit: After posting, I don't have the option of deleting it.  Maybe you have special privileges.   biggrinbiggrin

Think that you might have moderator status Joanne. Have you got any other new buttons?

Is that just your own posts that or can you also delete other peoples?

I noticed that there were changes to the site earlier when I couldn't access it earlier via my normal link. Had to refind the site and recreate the link.

The King is dead, long live the Queen !!!!  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Only kidding Shaun, I do not seem to have a delete button although the site is showing as 'not secure' again on my laptop.

Good god, that would be dangerous wouldn't it?! No danger that will never be allowed. No not got mod status. Good to know the one we have is still alive and kicking.....not seen you around for a while Shaun. I know, you are no doubt still lurking.

Delete option only showing on my phone, not on iPad, not on PC version, weirdly as the former two should sync.

I tested it, looks like it will allow a deletion, but then a message pops up stating I don't have acess permissions.

Seem to vaguely recall this happening before.

Can't see anything else but the site is bouncing around on my phone (bit like Aweb) and just now I don't have the patience/inclination to look further.

Ah, makes sense. Something is definitely happening behind the scenes as, as I say, yesterday my normal link took me off to a website building platform?

Fear not, I'm always around although generally in invisible Ninja mode.

Didn't initially intend to be that way but once a day Norton Utilities scans my drive clearing out cache and everything else it can think of. If I'm not logged into the site when it does that it clears my presence so next time I click on the site I'm viewing it offline.

I think that in the early days Steve went through something similar. He was on the site (under an alter ego) for the first few years after it started then dropped into the background to moderate. I seem to have followed the same path in that although I seldom post now I am here a lot of the time.

Have to say, you fella's are doing a fine job of policing yourselves so I seldom have to step in.

Except!!!

Long live the queen indeed... Tut, give you all a bit of self rule and you're mounting an insurrection!

Long live the queen indeed... the queen has abdicated. two many one way streets, most of which are too narrow to navigate safely and when you stop to allow passing traffic the there isn't a raising of the hand in acknowledgement.

 I'm done.

bookkeepers.network has been discontinued by the looks of it, and the site has reverted to a holding page for 123-reg, which I assume is the hosting company Steve uses.
