HMRC API Authorisation

Good afternoon.

Our Company is a Partnership with now just two partners.

Our software, Taxcalc, downloads information from HMRC  using Fetch Taxpayer Data.

After 18 months we are now required to reauthorise our software with HMRC to continue using this.

HMRC instructs us to log on our Government Gateway Account and we are then asked to confirm various details.

The second partner has entered all the information requested,  but it fails when we are asked when did "you"  last open a current bank account.

As so far it has accepted the partners personal details. they assumed they were being asked regarding a personal bank account, and entered the appropriate response, and the system then locks us out for 24 hours having failed the verification.

Are we looking at this the wrong way, and should be entering if the business has opened  a new current account?

Thank you

Jay

Thanks for the "bump"

I expect that in due course I will have to go through HMRC but this site is so extremely helpful it was my first choice.

Thinking about it, we have two partners so the situation might be even more confusing as to whose information they may want.

I intended to try again today but trying desperately to catch up as had a few days off last week to see new granddaughter ( No 2  ) in London.

Happy days. 8-)

Good afternoon all.

I hope things are going well for you all regarding the 31st deadline.

Well I have now finally managed to reauthorise TaxCalc to download HMRC API's.

The fault was all mine........ as usual.

I originally set it up being the senior partner and when the re-authorisation was requested I asked the second partner to enter their details.

I had an attempt myself this morning and all went as expected, now reauthorised.

Thank you all for your responses
