Clients bank account

Hi

I have been asked by a client if I can pay suppliers etc by having access to their bank account.  Does anyone else do this.  If so, what procedure would you suggest?

Many thanks

Yes you can do it. Get yourself added to the Bank mandate with appropriate restrictions (if they wont do the latter then dont do it!)

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

From my point of view, I would ensure that you have written confirmation (email) of any payment you make.

I tend to avoid bank accounts for clients...
