Hi all

 

Anyone interested in this job -  Stourbridge, West Midlands,

We are looking for an experience accounts assistant to look after all aspects of the company accounts and administration for a small family run engineering company in Stourbridge.

You will have full responsibility for

Sales & purchase ledger (raising invoices to making bacs payments)

Bank Reconciliation

VAT Return

Payroll (weekly & monthly)

Calculation of Accruals, Prepayments & Depreciation

Calculation of WIP & Deferred Income

Production of Management Accounts

Intercompany reconciliations

This is a very hands on role where you will be involved in all aspects of the business and as such the successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years accounts experience.Ideally you will be AAT Qualified although QBE will be considered along with intermediate excel skills with excellent attention to detail. A working knowledge of sage would be an advantage.

A February start would be required.

 

Hours are 8-5 Monday Friday

Salary is £19,000 - £21,000 dependent upon experience

Pension scheme]

23 days annual leave & statutory

Are salaries really that low for someone with 3 years experience and relevant qualifications? I was on 24-30k a year as a course advisor.

I was obviously over paid.

Believe it or not this was for my job!!

Some of my previous posts I may have mentioned being a bit unhappy with my salary and level of work etc so I bit the bullet and decided to move on.

The salary above is starting at £4k lower than what I was on.

Unfortunately, if a company doesn't want to pay the money, no matter how qualified or experienced someone is, they wont.
