Work

Hi all

I have started a new profile as I am no longer working for Training Link. After 12 years LOYAL service it has sadly come to an end. I will be looking for employment in the new year, should anyone be looking for a sales manager who is guaranteed to improve sales by at least 20% please PM me.

Dave

LOL Jo

Yes it feels like leaving my family as that is how I saw Training Link but after so many years it is time for a new challenge as I was becoming stale and no longer enjoying my job, however I just want to make it clear that Training Link are a fantastic training company and very very good at what they do, Thanks Jo x

Well most people spend more time at work than with their real families so I get that one. But I always say we need to get the work life balance right, as we only get one life. So have you got any plans for the future, or is it a case of see what wanders by? Or maybe we can tempt you over to the dark side....did you ever get the chance to do any of those training courses you were selling?

Good luck for whatever happens next Dave, the world is your chocolate box.

I know what I am good at Jo, I understand people and as such this makes me good at sales, and if you believe in the product your selling that makes the job so much easier. I think I have a lot to offer the right company but I wont accept work just for the sake of earning a wage, I have to believe in the product. As for doing a course, yes I did complete an Intro to Bookkeeping course and passed with 100% and I enjoyed it, however this is not a career I feel would make me happy.

I will just see what comes about, at the moment my priority is my daughter who is expecting my first grandchild, there have been a few complications and as such needs her Dads support. I have a lot of self confidence and feel any company that lands me has landed a coup. :)

Cheers Jo

Exciting times ahead hey Grandad! I hope all of the complications are in the past and all goes smoothly from here, when is she due? Sounds like you might have another career already mapped out!! Didn't realise you were THAT much older than me, lol.

Your as old as you feel Jo, mmmm hip replacement with another one to come, god Im old lol.

My Daughter lives in Exeter and is 24 weeks, scan showed water on the brain, been checked for Downes and that came back clear and she had to go for a special MRI in Bristol to check for brain damage and other disabilities for which she gets results today. Baby due in Feb

We already know that it is a girl, daughter has been distraught which has been heart wrenching and I have not been able to focus on anything but her. I cant wait to be a Granddad. Fingers crossed for today.

Isn't that you are only as old as the woman you feel?!!

But seriously, lots of luck for you, your daughter and grand-daughter for the results today, I can't begin to imagine the worry!

Certainly makes you realise how un-important the work is!!
