Its a more difficult question than it sounds.

What most people refer to as a QBE is someone who has spent years working as a bookkeeper or accounts assistant. Maybe in practice or a small accounts department.

They have all of the experience but no bit of paper to grade themselves against others.

To say that you are QBE potential employers will be more concerned with the length and depth of work from positions that you have so a bit of a catch 22. You refer to yourself as QBE but do not have sufficient experience (which may be in a linked profession) then you will not find the positions that you need to gain that experience.

The ideal is that you become qualified (AAT is the preference for employment), you find some jobs (possibly paying peanuts or even paying nothing!) and you get your experience in order to become more employable.

Generally it is experience rather than qualifications that finds you employment.
