All three items link to the MOSS article! On the subject of which, the last paragraph "Please also note that you need to be VAT registered in the UK before you can use the MOSS system." is a rather subtle way of announcing that this is a nightmare for suppliers who aren't VAT registered! I know the article is about MOSS, but anyone reading it who isn't VAT registered, may dismiss the subject as something that's not relevant to them, when it could drop them right in a pile of rather nasty brown smelly stuff!
I looked at them this morning after they were first released and just rechecked them again now. All of them go to where they are supposed to go to.
Before trying it again, try hitting CNTL + F5 as you may have an issue with Cache not being flushed.
Is anyone else having the same problem as John?

I've tried F5, CNTL + F5, and cleared my Firefox cache. When I point at the links I see this, and also when I Copy Link Location. The first two go to the MOSS page, and the third to HMRC Taskforce at Large, not Underpayment of Tax! One time I think it did something different, but my brain was hurting by then!
I'm in Firefox as well and its working fine for me.
Interested to know if anyone else is having issues.
Sounds as though you have got around it for now via IE but I'll mention that this occured to Steve the next time that we speak (he'll have probably read this thread before then).

Ran CCleaner and restarted my computer, which installed Firefox 33.0.3. Now I've got MOSS first and third, and Taskforce at Large second (correctly). Think I need to go and lie down. Or just go back to browsing Facebook and forget this accounting stuff!!!!
- you need to know the VAT rates that apply to your products in all the countries you sell to; - your VAT invoices to customers in other countries must comply with the local regulations - which are NOT the same across the EU;
Please also note that you need to be VAT registered in the UK before you can use the MOSS system.
Given that in some countries there are is no VAT threshold does this mean that if you sell digital goods in one of those countries you will have to register for VAT in this country, even if you're under the UK threshold?
The Grant Thornton paper on this seems somewhat better than HMRC's version which as usual comes accross as if they are attempting to hide something between the lines.
Basically if seems that if you deal in electonic media with the EU you either register for VAT here regardless of your turnover or alternatively (!) in up to 27 other countries all with different rules.
Its only a short two page document but seems like it says more than the bulk of wasted web space that HMRC and the European Commission have thrown at the subject.

And of course it raises the question of people who sell digital media, but who only want to sell in the UK, which is one of my plans, and how we stop sales to other countries and prove all are sales are in the UK.
Plus HMRC have announced that it will be extended to sales of products ASAP, so it will affect loads of small businesses.
