Bookcert business kit listed for sale

Evening all.

I've listed my Bookcert business kit on ebay. It's the only one listed there presently so it's easy to find.

It was purchased new only 3 weeks or so ago and hence it is the most up to date version.

You can fire any questions my way either here or via ebay as you wish.

Regards

So its not the one that you bought from Rena in 2011? I ask as don't the latest one's come complete with the PayCert credit control kit bundled and the Ebay version doesn't mention that making it sound like the old pre 2013 version.

Anyway, that aside, and sure that you've just cut and pasted the ad from the wrong place, the obvious question has to be why are you selling it?

Did it do everything for you that you thought that it would?

I find it's always the best way to to use a sawn off twelve gauge Kris.

I've been introducing my boy to the TV series Life on Mars and what life used to be like back in the good old days (memories through rose tinted spectacles methinks)... I fear a little of Gene Hunt may be rubbing off on me!

Hi Shamus

The purchase from Rena in 2011 never proceeded.

The Paycert cd did indeed come as part of the package and the reason I have excluded it from the offering is entirely deliberate. If you have seen and read the Copyright notice on page 2 of the manual it might be clearer as to why- it's pretty tight!

The Bookcert kit has met my expectations entirely. I have an accounting and finance degree (as a mature student I graduated in 2010) and have spent 25 years in the insolvency profession. I wanted to bridge the gap between the theory of bookkeeping and doing it in practice. What the bookcert kit does very well is to bridge that gap. For those of you who have not seen it before it literally tells you what to do with a shoebox of receipts and invoices. It helps turn theory (for me anyway) into practice.

If anyone would like to comment upon the efficacy and substance of the paycert copyright notice I am indeed happy, in principal anyway, to pass that over as well. It just seems like I best not.

I hope that helps.

Regards

So is it worth buying at that price by someone with lots of experience, but who has allowed the accounting parts of his brain to rust for 10 years?

Hi EPF

For accounting knowledge, probably not. The bookkeeping tuition within the kit is basic-more basic than I expected to be honest. But having said that I'd expect anyone serious about embarking upon this as a business to expand their knowledge from a technical aspect on an ongoing basis anyway. It helps someone without bookkeeping knowledge to get some basics under their belt and make a start.

I know from following this forum "under cover of darkness" as I said a few days ago that the bookcert kit is very well received generally and rightly so.
