This is a critical role which will provide quality technical and analytical support to the Group Finance Director, Board, Investors and the Operations teams. Reporting to and deputising for the Group Financial Controller the successful candidate will drive a continuous improvement programme which would initially include overhaul of the board reporting processes, outputs and timelines.The role will also have responsibility for Group statutory and taxation reporting, co-ordination of the Group budgeting process and a range of ad-hoc investment decision support projects including involvement in acquisitions.

Ensuring impact of all accounting and financial reporting developments is understood and accurately reflected in the Groups external reporting.
Overall management of the Group consolidation process.
Preparation of relevant briefing papers for the Group FD and other senior financial management.
Managing the group external auditor relationship, ensuring timely resolution of technical accounting and other audit issues.
Involved in the tax and treasury functions.


Who we're looking for

The chosen candidate will be a stand out amongst their peer group and be able to demonstrate the following experience and skills:

ACA qualified ideally from one of the 'Big 4' with a combination of technical Group reporting expertise and divisional financial controllership exposure
Multinational exposure or at a minimum, experience within a large, complex, multi-site environment
A stable career history which includes internal promotion(s) within a multinational group
Strong presentation skills, project improvement leadership experience, a drive to succeed and a results orientation are minimum expectations
Interpersonally the chosen candidate will be an intuitive communicator and a natural 'agent of change' with demonstrable influencing skills at peer level and beyond.
