SITE PROBLEMS

I've just put a report in to site admin that there appears to be a problem with the site.

Yesterday several people multiposted and I initially put that down to the contributors being new to the site but then I noticed the same from some existing members.

Today I have found that I can post but then when I reply to that post the message shows up in the thread but when I come out and go back in it is not there even though the message in the list states that there is one reply to the message.

I'm hoping that Steve will be able to get one of his tech wizards onto the problem soon.

I'll keep you all informed of any progress with the problem.

Many appologies for any inconvenience for those with questions to ask as I fear that answers are unlikely to appear in the threads for a while.

Until fixed, if you do post a reply, if you see the reply before leaving the thread but then it disappears please do not repost as it does appear that the missing posts / threads get found by the system eventually,

kind regards,

Shaun.

Hi Shaun

I have had the same problem. The system does not refresh post that I have read either, so it still shows as unread when I return to the main list. If I select mark all as read button that works.

Bill

Problems persist

replies are making threads go to the top of the list but the reply is not showing in the thread (so people are reading old replies then when the new one appears the thread will already be marked as read).

If this message doesn't appear in the thread (non of my others have today so why would this one!) I'll launch another new thread as at least those appear.

This issue and Bills additional problem have been raised with site admin

Shaun.

Its not just me then - started to think I was blocked from replying to some threads. when replying to some (like now) quick reply comes up - other times it asks me to log in - I eventually found the reply button at top right but definately something strange.

I know that you've replied to the thread Donna but I cannot see your message. Don't know if others can see mine.

When I get an update from Steve if it's a fix I'll post here, if it's an update I'll post a new thread.

Looking at posts that I've made this morning there seems to be an instantaneous update of the list to say that the thread has changed but an hour plus before the message actually appears in the thread.

Looking forwards to reading your reply at around 11:15 then Donna!

talk later,

Shaun.

Ooh, new discovery,

if you reply to this thread all of the queued posts appear whilst you are in the thread but then disappear if you come out and go back in again.

I saw your comment briefly Donna.

No, it's not just you. The site seems pretty broken at the moment.

I'll let everyone know what's going on when I get an update.

kind regards,

Shaun.
