HELP!! Sage Flash Screen only

Hi

I really hope someone can help...

I run Sage Instant Accounts Plus 2011 on Windows 7. I am the only user.

Yesterday my laptop didn't close down properly, when I restarted Sage asked if I wanted to remove the current user and log on again, I did, this has happened before, but now... The Sage flash screen comes up and will go no further. I've tried numerous things with no luck, including uninstalling and reinstalling, still nothing, feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall.

An Error 1310 occurs when I have tried opening Report Designer and I'm told 'Verify that you have access to that directory - retry' and still nothing... please help I completely stuck!!

Hi

Have you tried deleting the QUEUE.DTA file?

It removes the locked in user, and frees up the login screen again

Look for it in:

C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2010\Company.000\ACCDATA

It should be the only file with that name in that directory

HTH

Bill

Hi Bill
Thanks for your reply... I did try that I also tried a number of other things, none of which worked.

However I am pleased to say Sage were very helpful, I have online support so I emailed them, I was unable to fix the problem through their suggestions so I called and they fixed the problem remotely as they said it was a known problem.

Excuse my long reply but I hope if anyone comes across this thread, they'll see that Sage's support was able to fix it and without a charge (I am within the 12 month purchase period).

Thanks again Bill.

All the best, Abi
