Wiltshire Accountant saying hello
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

Just thought I would introduce myself to the forum. I am an accoutant based in Devizes, Wiltshire. I work with a number of bookkeepers who assist my client.

I am also offering a mentoring service to new bookkeepers and accounting technicians.

I enjoy my work and am passionate about making accountancy fun and exciting - a tough gig I know but, we can only try smile

Mad about sport, particularly football. I am married and have two young children who I adore.

I look forward to interacting with and helping others on the forum.

Welcome to the forum Phil (I guess from your profile name), were you so good that they named you Hendy twice??

I have read your replys you made last night and I think you will be a great contributor to the forum.

Who are your footy team? My team is in my user name...

Can I ask what your mentoring service includes as I am sure that several members would be interested in your offerings.

Stuart

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Hendyphilhendy is an old nickname based around my first email address, tried to register my own with AOL years ago and couldn't, this was one of their suggestions. I thought it sounded a bit James Bondish, and it has stuck!

I am from Cornwall originally so naturally my team is Manchester United

I am looking forward to contributing to this forum as hopefully I can help some people!

Didn't really want to blast an ad re my mentoring service but really its tailored programme for people who are new to the industry. It is based around five main topics which are, Managing clients, Marketing a practice, Technical issues (vat, accounting standards etc.), Software support and Practice administration. The idea is to help people with the things you don't learn in your training. It stems from the fact that I had been helping people over the last couple of years and felt this is a service people do need!

As Elvis Presley never said - "don't trust anyone that doesn't like football, they are hiding something".

Hi and welcome Phil - i'm late too!

Sounds like your going be an asset to the forum.

I'm more of a rugby bloke i'm afraid but with a pint in hand I have been known to watch and enjoy a bit of footy.

Hope you enjoy it on here and look forward to your future posts!

Here's hoping that the snow doesn't ruin a good night of consumption.

Cheers for now.

Ross

They could improve cricket a little.
The stumps - remove the middle one and place the other two further apart. Maybe put a bar across the top of them. Add a net as well.
The space between these two sets of stumps - make that a bit wider. Take away their bat - it's a bit dangerous. Instead of having two players from one team against eleven from the other team. Have eleven against eleven.

I think you can see where I'm going with this.
