I have recently been involved in implementing SAP business One for a customer in Northampton.  I quite like the system, and it will certainly help the company link up all aspects of their business.

Has anyone else on the forum come across this system?

It is targeted at small to medium sized businesses (it's not the ERP system targeted at large companies).

I am certainly interested in helping to implement SAP Business One at other small companies, so if you here of any, please give me a shout.

Hi Liz,

I've used the bigger version but not come across this one at all.

How does it compare to the old SAP R/3?

Does it feel at all similar for people who currently use FICO?

Can you extract the CSV files to drop the output into Excel the way that you can with traditional SAP?

Is there an option where extracts can be taken directly to IRIS?

What sort of cost would it be for small enterprises?

I can see that with a bit of advice companies would go for it over SAGE.

Actually, it just fell at the first hurdle.

I had a look what the nice people over on accounting web were saying about it and back in 2005 it was £1,700 per user for the core business suite so I think I can see why it's not widely used!

Can only find newer prices in the USA and they're talking about the $5000 dollar mark per licence.

SAP is a nice software suite but at that price I can't see much takeup as it makes Sage seem cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion though Liz. Did make me question for a while why I hadn't seen more of SAP in smaller enterprises.
