Directors Dividends

Hi again

I know I should know the answer to this but that doesn't help finding the answer.

I am just completing a set of management accounts and I need to post a journal for the directors dividends that they have declared to pay themselves during the current year.

Do I Dr Dividends (P&L) Cr Directors Loan A/c, then when the payment is made Dr Directors Loan A/c Cr bank

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Mark

Am liking the new logo, looks good.

I would agree with the above although I would not use the Directors Loan a/c but I have a Dividend nominal account code on the BS.

Thanks Philip, I can get the accounts finished now.

Thank you for the nice comment on the logo, it is part of a marketing campaign which will include the launch of my website, probably one day next week.

Regards

Mark

I can't take the credit for that, I got someone to do it for me, it is all part of the same firm who are doing my website, but I think they do logos and websites as standalone they don't have to be purchased together.

The tag line did take some work, but it came at a time when I wasn't thinking about it, so rather than trying to concentrate too hard it just came, a sort of mini eureka thing.
