Sage Instant Accounts Integration

Hi

I was wondering if anybody could help me out with a quick query please?

I am in early discussions with a new client that runs Sage Instant accounts. I run the latest version of Sage 50 accounts but am new to it.

They wish to continue using Sage to produce invoices themselves and I will do everything else. My query is does Sage Instant produce effective invoices and credit notes with a delivery note option and if so can the data then be integrated via the accountants link into my Sage 50?

If not then it seems the next option would be for them to upgrade their software. Can Instant be upgraded to Sage 50 or would they need to buy the full program?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards

Would depend on version of Instant wrt invoices.  You could always use the invoices they produce on Instant and enter in line 50 as batch invoices but that would mean more work for you and more cost to the client.  You may be able to import them from a csv file.

You can't upgrade from Instant to Line 50 it would have to be a new purchase.

Hi

I have a client who runs Sage Instant Accounts, and have uploaded their data sucessfully on to my Sage 50 - haven't reloaded the updated data back onto their program as yet but do not see any issues with this - have been advised by Sage it works well but can't confirm it.  I also run off invoices for my client through their Instant accounts package and believe you can also run delivery notes.

Hope this helps

Jane

As I said it depends on the version of 50 and Instant.  Usually you can import data from older versions to newer ones (but not always, particularly with Payrol)  but not data from newer versions to older ones.
