I have just started doing a clients books in the last few weeks and am getting a handle on his income and expenditure.

He wants me to help him work out how much he needs to be earning to breakeven and from that set targets for his staff.

I have done income and expenditure analysis before so will be able to help him but was just wondering if any of you good people had any advice etc..... that you could pass onto me which have helped you. Bit of an open ended question i know!!!

Hi

You can download a spreadsheet to calculate the break even point from http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/biz/Cashflow_banking/20000414b.asp.

It' a US site so ignore the dollar signs etc. It's a bit crude but I found it does the job!
