PI Insurance Quote - What do you think?

Hello,

I was just quoted £70.88 including IPT for Professional Indemnity Insurance up to £50,000.  I feel that this is a great price but do you think that I have covered myself enough at £50,000?  I aim to work part time and will only be taking on small businesses or sole traders.

Hi Terri

I also have cover for £50,000. i gave this some consideration before going at this level and felt that it would be sufficient for my purposes.

I felt that the incidents where i would need to use the insurance would be more than covered by £50,000 eg. penalties for late filing of statutory returns, bookkeeping errors etc....

If any claim was for more than £50,000, time to choose a new profession i think!!!

Anybody else have any thoughts on this.

Nimac.

Hi Terri

I agree with Nimac that £50K should be more than sufficient, especially if you're planning on working part-time. The quote sounds very competitive as well and I doubt you will find anything much cheaper than that.

Hi terri, can you tell us who the quote was from? our cheapest quote is £150 and we can't really afford that.
