A quick question

Hi
I have been applying for book keeping jobs in my area with the idea of either working from home or for a company at their premises.  So have contacted a local recruitment agency as I saw an advert for a book keeping job.  I have heard back from them after they received my cv and wanted to know if I have any Pegasus experience, can someone please tell me what this is?

Thanks
Shellie

Hi Shellie,

I am in exactly the same position as yourself at the moment. I too am with several agencies and waiting on some work.  Yes, the Pegasus you mentioned is an accounting software which is used in the manufacturing industry or large companies... its very different to Sage.  So you would have to be trained on it but, this would not take too long to do.  I dont know if you can purchase it to try at home but it might cost a bit as it really is just used in industry.  Its best if you stick with IT software you know in my experience as there are many companies who use the familiar SAGE.  If, the company is willing to hire you and train to use something else then go for it, or otherwise just stick with what you know best.

Hope this helps. It is a lonely business sometimes working from home and trying to establishe the right things to do. Thank goodness for this forum.
