Non-Business Clients

Hi all

I was chatting to an old friend about starting my own book-keeping business, and they suggested I also target non-business clients. They were saying they find it so difficult to find time to do their home accounts, that they would consider using me to keep track of their bills, set up s/o's and do their internet banking etc.

This got me thinking (a rare occurencesmile), does anyone think there is a market for this type of service, and does anyone have any non business clients at the moment?

Would be interesting to hear any comments. Cheers

Tom

Hi

Actually I do have one non-buiness client. My neighbour is 82 and I look after her house accounts, which includes checking her utility bills, ensuring they are paid on time, checking benefits and general tasks like this. I only get a nominal sum for doing this, but I've actually obtained three full paying business clients from her recommendations.

Not sure if the demand would be there to build a full time business around it, but you may be able to pick up one or two. It all helps!

Fay
