Just an update on the trial service HMRC are offering to test and view clients PAYE for employers accounts.
I was slightly delayed in setting my trail up, as I was not working as new knee played up a bit, but had it up and running in a few minutes this morning. ( the trail not the knee)
Basically it seems to offer details of RTI submissions compared to payments made.
This showed one of my clients was behind with his payments ( tut tut) and an over payment from last year had not been brought forward to this account.
Not rocket science but something that we should have access to.
However it does seem to be for this year only so not much use for historical information.
I noted this in my feedback to HMRC but all in all very pleased with this.

Hope the knee is improving daily - keep up the physio Jay - its the only way. Still cant believe I kept saying that to my Dad after he had his done and he never needed the physio - he charges around on it like he is a ten year old! Best thing he had done.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
I think I must have saw them before but the word "beta" scared me off. Filled in the form in the early hours of this morning so just got to wait for them now.
Changing the allocations HMRC make would be handy so I've gave that top priority in their feedback section. Details before RTI began I've made 2nd priority.

Bit embarrassing really , I don't recall how I got invited as it was some time ago.
Think it was possibly from an email that I had subscribed to with HMRC.
There were certain conditions that had to be met to apply, and I guess we just fitted the bill.
It was a case of being given a unique link ( after the normal verification's etc) and then you had to check that your had the correct number of PAYE clients and delete any that you no longer have responsibility for.
From there onwards you have all the information that you need for 2015/2016, but as mentioned I would like previous years as well.
All in all I was impressed, and don't think it will be that long before it goes live.
Thanks for the advise on the knee, the problem stemmed from a road accident over 40 years ago. I am very pleased with the result, the acute pain is now just an ache. It's also early days in that i was advised it may take 12 months to fully recover.
The only issue I have is that the knee bend is restricted but again to be expected.
