File SA without log in details
Permalink Closed

Hi all..

I use HMRC for my self assessment returns.  I've been approached by someone who doesnt know his log in details.  Course, now there's no time for me to become agent, and so I am wondering if using an outside software will circumvent this issue??

So.... if perhaps I got an Andica licence for SA, would it allow me to file using my ID and password?  I do this for my partnerships, and I can file a CT600 from Sage using just my log in too.  Just wondering if its the same for self assessment?

Sorry to mither, know you're all super busy xx

The short answer is yes. You just need to get through the "gateway" which your agent ID will do. The UTR whether individual, partnership or Ltd will complete/allocate the "filing only service", job done.

Regards

Hi Michelle,

Andica allows you to submit using your agent ID, so all good. Its also a cheap option at around £17 for 5 submissions.

This is a very relevant topic to me right now - client doesn't even have his UTR yet but he visited the tax office to get it last week and apparently it's meant to arrive in the post before Friday. Figures are all prepared ready to submit.
So just to be clear, if I'm set up as an agent I can file his return with only his UTR?? I didn't know that but it's very useful to know.

Yes using Andica, you only need the clients UTR and your login details. Have done this for some of my clients.

Hi Claire

I'm so sorry, I have only just seen your post! Yes, I have the client UTR, but I don't have time to become Agent, and the client had no online log-in ID, so I purchased Andica, and this simply needed my log in ID and password

Hope you got sorted too!! :)

Oh hell, wish I had read this last night!! I had a client whose login didn't come in time. Is this also true with partnerships?
